Tinted moisturisers are always a great option for the warmer summer months and those days when you just want a quick, easy and light base without any fuss. I find myself reaching for tinted moisturisers when I am just at home or running errands and want a light coverage whilst giving my skin a little bit of love along the way.
Clarins HydraQuench Tinted Moisturiser SP15 (£30) available in stores and online promises hydration, radiance and beauty with an ultra-fine, melt in texture and hydrating formula. It has a satin-like finish and is best applied, I found, with fingers to help the liquid melt into your skin. The formula is wonderfully lightweight and suitable for all skin types but I think it would definitely suit dryer skin best due to its active ingredients of Hyaluronic acid and Katafray bark extract which restore the skin's natural radiance and gives it a healthy glow. Hyaluronic acid gives the skin a more plumped texture and helps restore the moisture levels so is a great addition in any skincare product. This tinted moisturiser is definitely more of a tint to even out skin tone rather than a product to give you a lot of coverage and concealment. It is a lovely option to use on those good-skin days and preps the skin beautifully if you then wished to use some concealer and powder on top for a more flawless finish. As well as having SPF15 to protect the skin against UV rays, this tinted moisturiser contains radiance boosting pearls which capture the light and gives your complexion a glowing, radiant finish.
HydraQuench Tinted Moisturiser comes in seven different shades and I had 00 Porcelain (top) and 01 Sand (bottom) to try. The formulas look quite heavy and pigmented when first dispensed but the moment you start smoothing them into the skin they sheer out to just give you a light wash of colour and a brighter complexion.
