Prior to the start of fall quarter, I entered the Informatics Video Contest, sponsored by Informatics Chair Scott Barker. The only restrictions were that the video had to be under 45 seconds and that the topic had to be relevant to the Informatics field. I decided to take this golden opportunity to advertise the "Dutch Designs" exploration seminar. Below is my commercial, per se, to promote studying abroad through the University of Washington Information School. The winners of the video contest have yet to be announced, but I'll let you know if I win.
November 19, 2010 Edit: I did win the iSchool video contest and received a $200 Visa gift card. Life is great.May 12, 2011 Edit: This video was also submitted for the iSight Film Festival, and received the "I Love Short-shorts" Award (for films less than three minutes), winning me $50 to the University Bookstore.
